The Forum CILAC II <Foro Abierto de Ciencias de América Latina y el Caribe> had a perfect end at 25 Oct 2018. The Open Science Forum for Latin America and the Caribbean has construed itself as a key regional space for debates and exchanges and is organized every two years, alternating in distinct cities throughout the region. The UNESCO activities IGGP (International Geosciences and Geoparks Programme), YES Network, YES South American Chapter joint contributed one session <Innovation Across the Maritime Silk Road, Dialog on implementing of SDGs between Latin American and China> at Wyndham Albbok in the first day and a side event <Give me Earth Sciences, and I will make Sustainable> at City of knowledge in the last day of CILAC.

There are two scientific sessions were successful organized with 10 speakers from 5 countries, and UNESCO. The YES South American chapter rep, Dr. Carlos presented the proposal on Global Geopark and Silk Raod-Inca Road Earth Science Program. The Panamanian counterpart, H.E. Mr. Juan Carlos Varela attended the Opening ceremony of CiLAC and did a short meet with Meng and Carlos.
