As one of the main sponsors, YES Network sponsored the Global Young Scientist Scholar Roundtable as one of the core events of the World Young Scientist Summit (WYSS) 2020. YES President Meng Wang took the chair of the roundtable meeting on 17th October, in Wenzhou, China.
More than 50 leading international young scientists, representatives of entrepreneurs, and venture capital investors attended the roundtable, online and offline. They discussed broad topics about innovation and sustainable development. Most significantly, the “Wenzhou Declaration of 2020 World Young Scientist Summit” was discussed, and adopted within this roundtable.
The Wenzhou Declaration focuses on the problems of environments, resources, and biomedicines, which all human beings are faced with. It appears to global young scientists, entrepreneurs, and innovators to cooperate together on sustainable development, crisis prevention, and world peace.
The roundtable will remain one of the permanent programs in the future WYSS.
The UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth Jayathma Wickramanayake, Secretary of International Science Council (ISC) Alik Ismail-Zade, officials of CAST, officials from Wenzhou and Zhejiang, and officials from Wenzhou University also attended the event.
